Mr Burt's Anzac Technology in The War Part 1

Last week in the afternoon block the year 7 & 8's were told that a  special visitor was coming to our school and talking to us. That special visitor was Mr Burt our school  principal, Mr Burt was talking to us about technology in the war. Do you think that technology is good or bad? Mr Burt and Mrs Flavell's grand-fathers were in the war. Did you know that Mr Burt's grand-father was the first person to have a bike!! 

SO then Mr Burt was saying that in the war they were getting ready for the war. When they were getting ready for war New Zealand and Australia were getting their weapons they had a battleship called the Dreadnought they put a photo in the newspaper and German saw it so German made a bigger battle ship and it was bigger and better.

World war 2 Facts

1. The only nation that Germany declared war on was the USA.

        

2.  3-4 ground men were wounded for each killed

3.Over 60 million people were killed, which was over 2.5% of the world population.

Today we had assembly and it was all about world war one. It was on a monday and we had assembly Mr burt was talking about what had happened in the world war . At the end of the centenary we heard the bugler and it was playing last post we heard it while the New Zealand flag was going half way. Then we all went to class.
