Life is not always fair, there are always twists and turns that we all have to experience.  when I was about 10 years old my favourite colour was green so I wanted green coloured shoes. I was with my Mum , Dad , and older brother, we were shopping for the first day back to school.

First I went to go look for new pair of shoes, I saw green coloured sneakers from the brand Nike and  instantly  I was amazed, so I had to get it, it was a pretty good price for nikes I took it to my Mum and begged her to get it for me. Me and my brother excitedly rushed to get some new cheap stationery for school, me and my brother always got the cheap stationery so our Mum and Dad wouldn’t have to spend that much on stationery.

Two weeks later in the weekend my Mum thought it would be a good day to go to the beach. My Mum said “Ok everyone get ready we are going to the beach” and we all cheered with happiness, because we all needed a break.. We all got ready, and went in our white van  off  to the beach.  

When we got to the beach we played on the new playground that  the builders just finished working on. It was fun to hang out with my family again, when we all were sweating like a pigs we all decided to go for a swim in the cold cool water, so I took off my green nike sneakers and left it in the sand beside the rocks. I run in and I was wet all over, while we're having a swim we saw my cousins coming and they all run in the water with us.

We all went for a swim and we decided to play swimming touch, the game is just like playing touch but you're just playing in the water which makes it even harder. As we were playing we went deeper into the ocean and we couldn’t even see our stuff it looked like it was just big sea shells.

While we were swimming deeper into the ocean but not to far away from our Mum and Dad’s. I get out of the water to go have a feed but then I notice that my green nike shoes are gone. I go to my Mum and and Dad because I was really hungry so I had to eat. Then I see my Brother and my Cousins coming back for a feed too, I thought that they were playing a trick on me so I thought that they had it. After our feed I go to them and ask where are my shoes and they so that they don’t have it, at this point i’m going a bit worried it felt like my heart was going to come out of me, so I go and search for it.

As I was still looking for my green shoes I start to get to tried to look so I take a break. While I was sitting down I see a girl on a bike wearing what looked like my shoes, So I said to her “ Hi I’m Elizabeth and I lost a pair of green nike shoes do think you know where they are” and she says “ no sorry I got these shoes from my birthday “ and I said “ ok thanks”. When she leaves I started to search again. Ten mins in searching I hear my Mum saying “ Ok we’re all going home now come on”. I rushed to her to tell her that I lost my green shoes and she said “ it’s alright darling will get you new ones” and I said “ ok thanks Mum “.

When we got home we all had a big long rest. My Mum said the next day we will go to look for new shoes . I was feeling with excitement, and also to remembering to put my name on my new pairs of shoes the next day.

A Trip To Nikau Cave RTW2T4

Team 4 Immersion Assembly.

As I walk  into the year 7&8 block for the first day of team 4, I rushly throw my bag on the ground and run out to go and find my friends . Then as I run to look for my friends I saw the school topic for term 4 and it was SURVIVOR. I find my friends and we had a girly/sporty chat, as we were talking the bell rang  “dingdingding” We run to class  and went to go sit down, when we got there we were just in time for morning notices when it was finished we went to Immersion Assembly.

Firstly Miss George came in up on the stage and told us that team one is going to be learning about animals .Soon after that she said that she  will be having a karaoke competition. Her and the other teachers choose people to sing for the karaoke  competition she told everyone to go on the stage, and sing a song. When everyone was on the stage the song came on and the song was roar by Katy Perry, the people  on the stage had to sing a bit of the song and had to pass the microphone to the next person.  After when everyone sang their part Miss George and Mr Burt choose the winner and the winner was Marika, she won a trip to the zoo with team one. 

After team one was over Team 2&3 kinda had the same topic which was learning about Dinosaurs. Team 2 is learning about how Dinosaurs adapted to live. Team 3 is creating their own Dinosaurs and the Teachers already made some up of there own, there was Man-O-Saurs,Musclesaurs and more. 

While team 2&3 were finishing up team 4 soon came on and team 4 is learning about habitats. That means that they are learning about where animals habitats are. Mr Goodwin and Mr Somerville  showed us a movie and the movie was about people trying to find where they were. It was hilarious, the people were in a green room and Mr Goodwin put a background on but they couldn’t see it. The background was animals in their habitats and the people who were in it was trying to guess where they were. In the end they guessed where they were and they all got it wrong but it was still funny. After the movie we all clapped in laugher then team 5 came on.

The Team 5 teachers came on the stage and they did the survivor game. All the teachers were on the stage lined up for a challenge but not Mr Wiseman he was the host for the game, Mr Wiseman was speaking and then he told them and us  what they are going to do for the challenge. For the challenge they had to eat noodles with chopsticks. Mr Wiseman said ready set Go and off they went Miss Clark was going super fast and she won the challenge, but the other teachers didn’t agree. So Mr Wiseman said “it is fair because they needed adapt to use the chopsticks” and Miss Peato said “ but I didn’t want to adapt to use it I could of but I didn’t want to”. Then Mr Wiseman said that team 5 will be learning about how people and animals adapt to live.

After all that was done we all went to class to learn more about what we are learning for the team. My favorite part of Immersion Assembly was team 5 and their survivor game, it was so funny. But I wish I could watch it again.

The Secret Underground

Maths Question 1

This right here is my maths work we did with Miss. Me and Miss Peato did this one and here is how I did it. The question is Lesieli had an appoinyment at Dr.Wiseman's office yesterday at 11:30 a.m. The doctor called her into his office right time. She was out of there 25 minutes later. What time did Lesieli leave the doctor.

11.30+ 30=12pm

12pm - 5 (30 mins-25mins) =11:55am

Lesieli left the doctor at 11:55am

Miss Universe Girls Coming to PES (Pt England)

Yesterday At 1pm the Miss Universe Girls came to my school and the girls names were Hannah,Monique,Olivia,Sharme. The girls were contestants in the New Zealand Miss Universe  Beauty competition. In the competition only one  girl could make it so they all had to compete  with each other. The one who wins the in the New Zealand Miss Universe pageant gets to go off to other country's  and represents our country.


The girls were talking to us about following our dreams and always go forward. The Girls said to us that we always had to go forward and never go back that meant that there we had to forgive the past and work on the present,future. The Girls got us in small grounds and took photos with us.  Sharme she to us " What do you think is an animal that represents you and she said that her one would be a kangaroo because a kangroo always go's forward but they never go back.

Sharme was an entrepreneur and that means that she made her own  business and her business was a recycling. Hope you enjoy

Reality Trip

What was the most ‘shocking’ thing for you? The most shocking thing was when the workers get paid they only get payed a little bit of money. When you change the money for new zealander money it will only be a little bit.

When they were working they did get money. But they didn’t get as much. All they got was 40 pesso which is 4 dollars in new zealand.

What 3 things can you learn from the TV documentary ‘Reality Trip’? 1. You can learn the other things that other countries  do in the life of they day

3. know that there are other people in the world that don’t have food and money.

Explain what the documentary was about (5 New Zealanders)The documentary is about 5 kiwis that go on a trip and do thing they have not done before. They names are Peter,Anna,Kirera,Stevie,and Stephanie. They all have to work together for all the jobs they do.

What different types of things did they experience? The different things they did was trying different foods. And they worked in the most weirdest places

Roller coasters are fun and entertaining, but what if you can ride on a roller coaster while you're buying a house. Will..... a dutch man did that he built it for house buyers he thought taking people around his house is boring and he wanted to change that.

So he built a roller coaster in his house , Everyone who went enjoyed it

The Dutch man who made the roller coaster was named “UnKnown” when I was trying to find his name. But what I did get was that he built the roller coaster in Holland in his home-town. The dutch man built it in 2014 and was selling the house.

The Dutch-man made a youtube video and there is more than 1,000 views on it.

Mr Burt's Anzac Technology in The War Part 1

Last week in the afternoon block the year 7 & 8's were told that a  special visitor was coming to our school and talking to us. That special visitor was Mr Burt our school  principal, Mr Burt was talking to us about technology in the war. Do you think that technology is good or bad? Mr Burt and Mrs Flavell's grand-fathers were in the war. Did you know that Mr Burt's grand-father was the first person to have a bike!! 

SO then Mr Burt was saying that in the war they were getting ready for the war. When they were getting ready for war New Zealand and Australia were getting their weapons they had a battleship called the Dreadnought they put a photo in the newspaper and German saw it so German made a bigger battle ship and it was bigger and better.

New Zealand at War

For the past week I was trying get my New Zealand at war done and now I have. This will tell you what they did in the war and what they had to do in the training. Future Aspiration Day :)

On Wednesday 20th of May, special visitors came to my school and was talking about how they got from a no body to some one who mainly everyone know :) . The visitors were Marcus Winter, Louis Gorden Latty and Andrew Pattison. 

Andrew Pattison:

Andrew Pattison is a very nice person, For a living he collects and connects with other people. He said to us " I also like to collect quotes what I do is open my quotes doc and put on my favourite quotes on it" I thorough that was cool so when it was over I created a doc and called it loved quotes. Mr Pattison also said to us " Struggling is good because struggling is good for the mind the struggle will help you learn from your mistakes you have done in the past so keep on struggling" 

Louis Gorden Latty:

Louis Loves to play Basketball he loves it so much he made an app of it but on the app the ipad records it, but when the game is over a message will go to the teams mates. The message will say that the game is available to watch and edit to make it like a NBA game.   It will have a commentator speaking over the game isn't that cool the app is called glory league go check it out :)

Marcus Winter:

Marcus Winter is an artist he's not your normal artist. He's a sand artist he uses sand in his art people also called him the sandman. here is one of his videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDzz_eDq3LE . When he came and talked to us he was saying when he was a little boy at school his teacher said that his handwriting was really slow, but when he was at the end of intermediate he got the certificate in academics and top marks in his school.

ANZAC Mascots

This Week we have been learning about the Anzac Mascots. My mascot is a husky as you can see the drawing I did is at the top. I choose this mascot because I think that a husky is good at attacking and running . I hope you have enjoyed bye!!  

Music

Music had changed from 1981 to 2015 now-a-days we listen to re-mix,dub step,and other cool music. In the Anzac war the soldiers sang songs to get them ready for war and to remind them about there family's.
When I was born there were diffident music that I didn't know. I hope you have enjoy and wait for more music story to come.

In kiwi sport this term, we are learning how to play basketball so far we have learnt how to dribble the ball

A) Chelsea was able to dribble the ball 58 times.

B) Elizabeth could only dribble half that amount.

C) semi could dribble the ball 7 times more than chelsea.

D) Izac could only dribble the ball 3 times more then elizabeth.

Q: how many times can each person dribble the ball?

b) 58 divided by 2 =29

c) 58 x 7= 406

58 x 4 = 232

58 x 3= 174

d) 29 x  3=87

20 x 3= 60

9 x 3= 27

Anzac Day Feels peom

As the days go by on a special day I see everyone going on about the Anzac war that came by. When I  saw the number of people who died for us  I just wanted to cry. Learning and sharing the names of those who went to fight for us . Remembering everything that had happened to them .  They shall not grow old as they go by they will have no fear as they will fight we will remember them . Thank you for what you have done to protect us thank you for your bravery and kindness LEST WE FORGET.

Helping The Kids

Tomorrow I'm going to be helping my baby brother and sister's daycare. I'm going to be helping them for a week or just a day maybe if I like it there. Movie of the Week:Avatar

Last week I  watched a movie called Avatar it's a movie about a guy named Jake Sullly, he had a twin brother but he died going  from cancer but lucky Jake and his brother taught  each other about the world that only one of them were going to. After Jake's brother died Jake took over his contact for his brothers work. One thing Jake didn't know   everything he didn't know about the avatars and the animals that were there. But he learned from a girl named Neytriri it's hard to say but she taught jake how to feed,hunt,sleep,and fly like them and he got better and better.
Soon after a few weeks jake fell in love with her and wanted to live his life in that world. When his boss said that Neytriri home was going to be destroyed by the sky people which is just humans. Jake asked for some help to save the avatar's world when the movie had ended I wanted to watch it again it's such a good movie to watch but not for babys.
